Flight attendants have to deal with all sorts of unruly passengers. From intoxicated people to those demanding seat upgrades for free, there’s no shortage of bad behavior in the skies. We’ve even seen things go wildly wrong in the airport itself, as we saw in the recent viral video of the fight at an Atlanta airport coffee shop. But some behavior is truly awful, and can get you more than kicked off a flight–it can even land you in jail.
A recent video posted online shows a passenger caught attempting to film underneath a female flight attendant’s skirt. As the flight attendant performs meal service, passing the man in the aisle, he is seen holding out his phone at a low angle with the video recording underneath her skirt.

But justice came quickly for the would-be voyeur. The video then cuts to a second clip where another male passenger wearing a vest walks up to the man and grabs his hand, which is still holding the mobile phone.

What happens next is unclear, but the video soon cuts to a photo of the man being questioned by the police. The rest of the plane had been cleared out by this point, as the man sits with his head hung low in shame and three police officers stand in the aisle.

The video was first posted in July 2023 by TikTok user Brandon Conner, although no further details have come to light about the identity of the man or the airline on which the incident took place. The video recently went viral on Twitter, where reactions have been unanimous in condemning the man’s actions and calling for his arrest.

Comments ranged from people demanding he be locked up to those calling for him to be banned from flying again.

Many people have used this as another reason why they believe female flight attendants in some airlines should no longer have to wear skirts, but be allowed to wear pants like male flight attendants. It certainly would hinder anything like this from happening again.
One Reddit user named AthiestMessiah offered a likely explanation of what happened after the man was taken into custody:

It’s despicable behavior, to be sure, and it’s something we can only hope has been rightly punished. We’ve seen predators use anything from secret recordings to abusing positions of power to prey on unsuspecting victims, but there’s always a sense of justice when they get caught and have their actions brought to light.
